Dr. Barbara Persons is a plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon committed to excellence. Dr. Persons is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc. Dr. Persons opened Persons Plastic Surgery, Inc.'s Lafayette office in 2010 and took over the Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery Center on Moraga Road on March 31, 2011. Dr. Persons, a Lafayette native, began studying for a career in medicine at University of California at San Diego, where she earned her degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Dr. Persons' education includes: UCSD, Dartmouth, University of Vermont Medical School, UC Davis, UNLV and "Ole Miss." In addition, Dr. Persons also completed numerous subinternships at Stanford and UCSF. She was selected as Chief Resident at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Surgery. In August 2005, Dr. Persons was invited to do her Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she became Chief Resident in 2008. She completed a fellowship in Breast, Aesthetic & Laser Surgery. Dr. Persons is highly experienced with aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery and body contouring (liposuction) and she especially enjoys the artistry involved in facial plastic surgery, including facial rejuvenation and fat grafting. She also specializes in helping moms get back their "pre-baby" body.
Our goal is to provide a safe, tasteful and comfortable environment for our patients and an efficient and enjoyable space in which to work. Locating in Lafayette brings the comfort, safety and convenience of an office surgery center to a very beautiful setting. Residents in the Lamorinda region are now within five to ten minutes of the quality of care that they expect. A fifteen to thirty minute drive is all that is required to reach the Surgery Center from most areas of Contra Costa County and Berkeley. We are about an hour from San Francisco, Marin and the South Bay.

Thank you to Dr. Barbara Person today. My eight year old daughter split her lip/cheek area open and had a few stitches. Dr. Person took us as a new patient and saved us to a trip to the ER. My daughter was comfortable at all times (Even with a huge shot/no tears!). We felt like we were first on her list. However, if I take a trip to a plastic surgeon shouldn't I get something fun?!?!
